The villains
The villains
In a kingdom not too far away, there lived a proud and haughty stepmother and her two daughters, as arrogant as they were cruel. From the moment she arrived at the house, Cinderella, the stepdaughter, was relegated to the humblest tasks, while the other three enjoyed luxuries and comforts, showing their contempt for the young girl.
When a grand ball was announced at the palace for the prince to find a wife, the stepmother and stepsisters mocked and excluded Cinderella from the celebration. Despite her kindness and abilities, they treated her as if she were inferior and even tried to take advantage of her generosity and good taste to prepare for the event.
But the malice of these villains became even more evident when they tried to prevent the prince from finding the owner of the glass shoe that had been lost in the flight of the mysterious young lady from the ball. Despite their efforts to try on the shoe and deceive the prince, they were unmasked by Cinderella, who proved to be the rightful owner of the shoe.
In the denouement of this story, Cinderella, despite having been treated unfairly, showed her compassionate and generous nature by forgiving her stepsisters and stepmother. She decided to share her happiness with those who had mistreated her. In contrast, the stepmother and stepsisters were portrayed as villains due to their envy, cruelty and lack of empathy towards Cinderella, showing the dangers of vanity and excessive pride.
